Why Glaze Water?

Solving the problem of environmental pollution sustainably.

The Problem

Most plastic water bottles (plastic, PET, etc.) have a high proportion of materials that are produced using fossil raw materials.

The production of these plastic bottles from fossil raw materials is - as is generally known - suboptimal. Also for our own CO2 footprint.

In addition, plastic made from fossil fuels takes up to 700 years to decompose in the environment - and undoubtedly destroys the environment in various ways during this time.

The Solution

Glaze Water's packaging is made from 76% natural, renewable, non-fossil raw materials - and is recyclable.

The packaging consists of 60% cardboard (FSC certified) and 16% plant-based PE (Bonsucro certified).

Glaze Water thus helps to reduce CO2 emissions and sustainably protect the environment.

Through the Treedom partner programme, we plant numerous trees in various third world regions, which are so important for absorbing CO2, and strengthen the social and ecosystems in the regions (www.treedom.org).

The Packaging

Low plastic content

Our packaging contains up to 70% less plastic* than conventional plastic bottles for juice or other drinks. And it's also about the details: for example, our lid is made from sugar cane.

Space-saving

Our packaging (TPA 500 Edge Dream Cap) is transported flat when empty. When full, they have an efficient shape and can be folded flat again after use.

CO2 neutral & CO2 reduction **

This Tetra Rex® packaging has been certified carbon neutral by the Carbon Trust. For more information please visit: carbontrust.com/tetrapak

Low CO2 footprint

Trees absorb CO2 from the air as they grow. In this way, they help to reduce the impact on our climate. That's why most of our packaging is made from cardboard, a renewable raw material.

* This is based on the fact that a conventional juice or beverage bottle consists of 25 g to 30 g of plastic, while a beverage carton contains only 7 g to 8 g of plastic, which corresponds to a reduction of 70 %. Please check local comparative values in your country.

** Applies only when using Tetra Rex® packages from Tetra Pak, which are made exclusively from plant-based raw materials.
